Stohlquist kit, soon to hit the UK.

March 5th, 2008 · No Comments

For those of you not familiar with www.stohlquist.com , they are one of the worlds top kit manufacturers, with years of experience. There main focus is buoyancy aids, dry cags, dry trousers and the ultimate drysuits.

When I first heard that Squarerock where going to start Importing this excellent kit, I put an order in straight away. If you haven’t seen me in there new drysuit you need to open your eyes, because to say its eye catching is an understatement.

From first impressions is quickly obvious that the design has all the positives that Kokatat have, with the over shoulder zip, pee zip and socks.

The material may not be Goretex, but it is the next best thing. It’s breathable, light weight, strong, flexible and wreaks quality.

I have had this kit since the start of December and would say I have used it approximately 30 times already, which for a lot of people is best part of a seasons use.

So, how is it holding up? Well it’s still in excellent condition and I can see it lasting for quite a few years. So to the average paddler anything upto 5 years would be a good expectation.

Not only is it a great bit of kit, well made, full of functionality, its going to retail at an excellent price of around £500, baring in mind the equivalent Kokatat drysuit retails for the best part of £800, I think you will agree it is excellent value.

If you are at all interested in the new kit please feel free to ask me or call your local shop.

The kit is literally days away from being in the country. www.stohlquist.com

Cheers
