How did you first become involved in kayaking?
A friend took me down to his local canoe club.

How long have you been seriously kayaking?
Blimey 19 years 

 
 
Have you been part of a canoe club?
I have been involved with Windsor canoe club for my full paddling carrier.
 
What is it about kayaking you like so much?
This may sound daft but the water! It’s amazing there is so many different types white/flat/Sea etc you can always paddle something. 
 
What disciplines of kayaking have you been involved in?
I suppose I’ve been involved with all. I started out in slalom competing for a number of years around UK and Europe. Taking part in LD races from time to time. A stint as a sea kayak guide in OZ. Ha even an open boat coach on the Ardeche gorge France. Then when I was visiting friends in New Zealand they decided to show me down the Kaituna River. Sat me in a short plastic boat gave me funny 20 degree paddles and told me to boof left off a seven meter waterfall, then I was hooked on white water. 

 
 
How did you get into freestyle?
Same New Zealand story for getting started but I think the tvfreestylers trip around Europe with my new allstar made it for me been hooked ever since. 
 
Where have you paddled including travelling etc?
England / Wales / Scotland /France / Germany / Austria / Switzerland / New Zealand / Australia / Norway / Ireland / Thailand / Uganda 
 
What is your favourite paddling destination?
Hm that’s a toughie Uganda because of its big volume and its warm but it has to tie with Norway 

 
 
Where would you like to travel to?
Everywhere lol, at the moment I have a trip planned to Canada and Eastern Europe/ South America are on my list.
 
Who inspires you in kayaking?
The people who have pushed the limits attempted the first descents / waterfalls and so on.    
 
What equipment do you use?
I have a whole range of different kit I normally buy the kit I like. I paddle a Jackson allstar on the wave and a wavesport diesel on the river.
